Rich Mockingbird SL / Natural Neck Pickup: DiMarzio PAF Humbucker Bridge Pickup: DiMarzio Super Distortion Strings: Elixir OPTIWEB 09-46 Paul Reed Smith Guitars Custom 24-08 Core / Carroll Blue Both Pickups: TCI Pickups Strings: Elixir OPTIWEB 10-46 Unquendor Guitars Nyxia (Neck-Through Style of Nessa) / Black Stained Both Pickups: Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Strings: Elixir OPTIWEB 09-46 Tuning: Standard (EADGBE) Multi-Effecter & Audio Interface: ZOOM G11 DAW: Logic Pro 11 Tone Comparison: Clean Tone: Scorpions – Always Somewhere ZOOM G11 / Fusion CLN manufacturer setting Distorted Riff Tone: Michael Schenker Group – Armed and Ready ZOOM G11 / KramRock manufacturer setting Metal Lead Tone: Thunderstone – Virus ZOOM G11 / SoloVelv manufacturer setting All guitars were recorded using identical Zoom G11 settings. Pickup selection and tone controls were adjusted to bring out what I feel is the best tone for each guitar. Logic Pro 11 was used as the DAW.
