The high-security prison Alcatraz, off the coast of San Francisco, is one of the most famous in the world. It is partly famous because of the story of prisoners attempting to escape using only spoons and sheets. Although the prison is no longer operational, it serves as the perfect location for one of the most iconic triathlons in the world.
