Snowboarding in APRIL | 760 Snow Cannons at Romme Alpin

Sweden is in full spring but you can still snowboard and ski in certain places. Once such place is Romme Alpin, the most southern alpine ski resort in Sweden - just two and a half hours north of Stockholm. This is a quick look at what it's like to go snowboarding at Romme Alpin in mid April. Horrible wet snow? A horrible experience? Well, it actually turned out to be a pretty good day after all! Romme has pretty mild slopes, but it's definitely a decent skiing or snowboarding experience with slopes ranging from beginner to advanced. And it's very convenient to get there. I also discuss some of the history behind Romme Alpin. It opened in 1987, but ran into some economic troubles in the 1990s due to the warm weather, so the local municipality aided them so that they could invest in snow cannons. Now they have 760 snow cannons of Top Gun type, which fires pressurized air at water beams to form the snow, and they are one of the biggest snow producers in all of the Nordics.
