Tour de Fleece: Day 11 - Rainbow rolags spun on a supported spindle This is my second ever spin on supported spindles and I am OBSESSED The rainbow fibre is 50g hand dyed braid of Jacob from A Lair Artifacts that I turned into rolags on my blending board You can see me make the rolags in a reel on my IG or on TikTok, it’s easy to find because of all the bright neon colours! Showing my 2 ply first ever supported spindle mini skein which has a whopping 6.1 yds per gram grist! Opening up a Rambouillet braid to let it relax before starting some new singles! Melly is THE BEST, she hand processes wool fleece and cards up the most amazing batts. There are 300+ of us in the team this year and our only rule is to spin from our stash! #stashdashers About TdF Tour de Fleece runs alongside the Tour de France, and it’s a 3 week period where us yarny spinners have fun spinning as much as we can! It’s definitely a sport but it’s all about having fun, sharing and learning.
