In answer to the frequently asked question on why I use silicone oil over grease inside certain gearboxes, grease clogs up bearing bushings where-as oil collects but doesn't bind. If it's solid metal bushings I keep a little grease , if nylon just silicone oil. If it's a rare usage gun & mostly for show & no real maintaining regularly required then grease all the way but I personally don't like bearing bushings & if you're going to clog them up with grease there's literally no point having them. An AEG should get regular services - even if it's pure grease inside it'll get dirty & sticky so a service should be done regardless.
