Juniata River Smallmouth from the Kayak

The Juniata River can be a challenging this time of year. In this Kayak Anglers of Central PA Human Power Tournament, I launched my Jackson Coosa FD and committed to a long float in search of a pattern for post-spawn smallmouth bass. With fish transitioning out of the spawn, the bite was far from easy. I covered a lot of water, experimented with different presentations, and tried to put together a tournament-worthy bag on one of Pennsylvania's best smallmouth rivers. Did the gamble pay off?
