With the way the encounter is designed, there are in fact only 3 unique scenarios of shape distribution, the first being where no one has a double shape, the second where 1 person has a double, and the third where all 3 players have a double. Because no one is able to start with the correct shapes they need, the arrangements I just described are the only possible combinations. Because of this, if you know what particular situation you are in, you will then instantly know what moves you need to carry out, removing any guesswork. If done correctly and knowingly, using this strategy guarantees each round of swapping to only take 6 swaps, no more, no less.
