N456-SSH25-SLH32 Waurn Ponds: Southern Cross - Geelong (Friday 2 February 2023)

I finish work and barely manage to get on the Mernda train to the city with less than a minute to spare. It then pulls into Southern Cross Station at 6:11PM. I get off Platform 9, get across the concourse and reach the bottom of the escalators and the doors on the 6:12PM Geelong train are still open. Unfortunately, by the time I reach the ticket gates, the doors have closed and I miss what should have been the last V-Line H-set service.
