Merlin - EU EDF Project Supporting Liberian Health Services in Sinoe County

EU-EDF & Merlin project: Supporting the Liberian Ministry of Health in the implementation of the Basic Package of Health Services in Sinoe County, Liberia. At Merlin, we believe that evaluations enable staff, patients, communities and partners to describe their realities and input into a wider understanding of what went well during the project and where things were difficult. This is important so that we can show what we have done, what we have learnt and what we should do in the future. This final evaluation was designed to assess to what extent the project achieved its objectives and overall goal. It identified the achievements, challenges, lessons learnt and effective practices by measuring access and coverage, relevance, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of the intervention as categorised by the OECD-DAC criteria. The impetus for filming this evaluation was to increase accessibility, immediacy and impact of the evaluation findings by providing people with an opportunity to voice how the project has affected their lives. We wanted to focus on changes occurring in the lives of communities and individuals as a measure of success and give a holistic sense of the work being done and the reality on the ground by using elements of completed reports and interview footage.
