El Joven que Sobrevivió a la Matanza de Paracuellos

MYTHS AND LEGENDS CHANNEL: https://youtube.com/@caminanteiberico... The Paracuellos del Jarama Massacre was one of the darkest and most silenced episodes of the Spanish Civil War, a place where thousands of prisoners were taken from Madrid's jails to be shot in trenches dug in the Jarama river valley. Among those piled-up bodies lay Ricardo Rambal, a boy of barely fifteen. They shot him, left him for dead, and threw him into the pit with the others. But that night something impossible happened: hours after the execution, the young man awoke among the corpses, wounded by bullets in his mouth, stomach, and leg… and he ran. He had survived the Paracuellos firing squad. In this episode, we reconstruct his story from inside Madrid's Modelo prison, through the massacre of August 22nd, the daily terror of the prisoners, the deceptions of false "freedoms," and the final journey to his death. We relive the exact moment of the execution, the desperate escape through the bodies, the days of hunger and bloodshed until returning to a devastated city, and the reunion with his mother after being presumed dead. A true testimony that transforms Paracuellos into something more than a statistic: into a human story that survived the silence. Subscribe and don't miss any of our war stories.
