In Episode 10 of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged, one of the most iconic and elaborate puzzles in the history of adventure games awaits us—a multi-stage key forgery! 🗝️🤯 In today’s episode: ⛪ The Church in Montfauçon: We take a look inside the local church. A kind priest agrees to polish the chalice we acquired in Spain (revealing a coat of arms in the process!), while we use the lens from Syria on a mysterious scroll held by a statue. We also follow a clue leading to a tomb in the corner of the church. 🐐 The Mystery of Baphomet: André Lobineau at the Musée Crune sheds new light on the investigation. The terrifying statue we found in a Syrian cave is Baphomet—an idol allegedly worshipped by the Templars. Thanks to this information, we unlock a new location: the Paris excavation site (Site de Baphomet). 🧼 Golden Raspberry for the Forger: To gain access to the excavation site, George switches into “MacGyver” mode. We imprint the pattern of the restroom key onto a bar of soap, pour plaster over it, and soak it under the faucet. Then, with Nico’s help (who calls on the phone), we get rid of the painter so we can paint our plaster key in a paint can! 🥶 Playing with the Thermostat: Even a painted key wouldn’t fool the guard up close. What does George do? He turns down the thermostat! The chilled guard puts on gloves, so he doesn’t notice that he’s taking back the fake plaster key. Meanwhile, Nico stirs up a phone argument between the painter and the guard, and we slip inside! ✨ Excavations: In the underground chambers, we place the polished chalice in front of the image of Baphomet, gaining a crucial clue.
