55. Lets Make Glaze : 05 Making Mystery Chips Start to Finish from homemade glaze

Whilst on my journey trying to make my own glazes I wanted to see if I could make some mystery chips too, from the washing water. There was so much residue it seemed a shame to waste! I've included the fired images also for completeness. Not sure what to think if I'm honest. Maybe it would be better to do individual colours? However what I didn't realise is that I would not be able to make 'chips' as this dries to a powder, or chunks. I believe you can add something to this to make it 'flake' but not sure what I need to add, how much and do I add it to the residue only? If anyone has advice I'd love to hear from you. If you've followed me on Instagram you'll know I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to glaze chips when using Mayco and Amaco premixed glazes. I've applied the 'chips'(well dust) to three different background glazes, all from Joe's recipes ‪@OldForgeCreations‬ Misty Forest, Floating Copper & Ivory.
