Glass Onion- The Beatles (Guitar Cover)

Glass Onion was released on the White Album in 1968. John wrote intentionally misleading lyrics, to mess with his listeners who often would surmise hidden meanings from his words The backing track was recorded on September 11, 1968. The classic lineup consisted of John on acoustic guitar, George on lead electric guitar, Ringo on drums, and Paul on bass. Overdubs commenced the next day, but all of the guitars heard on this song were recorded on that first day John most likely used a Gibson J160e jumbo acoustic. He is seen using both his and George's J160's during the White Album sessions. He did have a Martin D-28 too, but by autumn of that year he's mostly seen using a J160. I'm using my 1956 Gibson J45 for this cover! George had many electric guitars during the White Album- a Les Paul (Lucy), a Stratocaster (Rocky), a Gibson SG, and an Epiphone Casino. He most likely used his Strat or SG for this song. The high up, 15th-fret bar chords would be difficult on a single cutaway like the Les Paul. The SG and Strat have easy access up the frets, with their two cutaways I'm guessing that George used his Stratocaster, Rocky. The tone is bright and lacking the warm midrange that the Les Paul and SG have. Also, it sounds like the exact strat tone he had on Happiness is a Warm Gun. He also could have used the Deluxe Reverb and cranked it. I'm using the Aclam Doctor Robert as my main overdrive pedal, into my 1965 Fender Bassman amp (set clean).
