What was a typical Tonight Show episode like 50 years ago? The show had officially moved to Burbank full-time the day before (though it would still periodically return to New York into 1973) and even though the show had visited Hollywood for years, they still seem they're getting used to it at this time. Guests are Johnny Mathis, George Carlin, Rob Reiner, Carol Wayne, and Mr. Blackwell. All TV promos, news clips, airchecks, etc. remain the sole property of the respective copyright holders.
