Pioneer PD-71 - one of the most beautiful players I have ever had.
There was nothing wrong with this player and I bought it for both the looks and for its mechanism. Pioneer, similarly to Sony and Philips also used in some of their players magnetically driven, friction-less mechanisms. And this is one of them. It has Burr-Brown PCM-58 DAC chips, copper plated chassis, Rubicon and Nippon Chem-Con capacitors and most of all, superb build quality. Maybe it will become my transport, maybe I will sell it one day. The scratch there that I "removed" there during the filming is now truly gone even though the first, live attempt was not quite successful. It is hard to do holding a camera and looking from the angle. This also appears to be 100th video. Soon, there will be a web page with all the content and contact details.
