Benazir Bhutto was born on June 21, 1953 in Karachi, Pakistan. Her father was former Pakistani president and prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. She completed her education at Oxford University School of Law. She also received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University. After completing her education, Bhutto returned to her country. After her father was arrested and executed, she was under house arrest for a while. She was allowed to go abroad in 1984 and settled in England. Here, she became the head of the Pakistan People's Party founded by her father. In 1987, she married cement manufacturer Asif Ali Sardari. From this union, they had 3 children named Bilavel, Bahtiyar, and Asifa. In 1988, Benazir Bhutto came to power in Pakistan in a free election, becoming the first female prime minister in the country's history. However, the Bhutto government was overthrown by the military due to corruption charges. Bhutto was re-elected in 1993, but three years later the government was overthrown by President Farouk Leghari, again under corruption charges. However, no file was found that would constitute a crime. In 1999, she was forced to leave Pakistan following the military coup led by Pervez Musharraf. She later came to the United Arab Emirates and settled in Dubai. When Al-Qaeda threatened to attack Bhutto, who decided to return to Pakistan to participate in the 2007 elections, Musharraf asked Bhutto to postpone her return and wait for the Supreme Court's decision on her request for clemency. Benazir Bhutto did not comply with this request and returned to Pakistan on the night of October 18, 2007 after an 8-year exile. However, a bomb assassination attempt was made against Bhutto, who was greeted with demonstrations of love by her supporters. However, she survived this attack without any injuries. In the assassination attempt, 138 people were killed and 248 people were injured. However, he could not escape the bomb attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007 and lost his life. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the assassination. After Bhutto's death, President Pervez Musharraf declared a three-day mourning in the country. Like the video!
