Sardinian language or Sard (limba sarda or lìngua sarda) is a Romance language spoken by the Sardinians on the Western Mediterranean island of Sardinia. The most widely spoken language in Sardinia may be Italian, but the Sardinian language (Sardo) is still widely spoken among locals. Some linguists consider it to be the language that is closest to Latin. Can Italian, French, and Spanish speakers understand the Sardinian language?
