The California 14ers: Starlight Peak Northwest Chute | Palisades
Hi everyone, this is our climb of Starlight Peak - the first half of a bigger trip to the Palisades. Day one - Bishop Lake. Day two - Palisade Basin via Knapsack Pass. Day three - the ascent. With the various obstacles and the cold wind, this is one of, if not the, most technical overall / difficult climbs I've been on. Being fairly new to navigating a mountain like this, it was as exciting as it was draining; an amazing experience. Please remember that, though the goal is to share our experience and maybe some useful information, none of this is climbing advice. Also, my apologies - less effort was spent on the videography of these next couple of videos, as these peaks were much more demanding than past trips and, the dang Gopro batteries died in minutes due to the cold wind! Sharing as much of the experience as possible, I hope you enjoy and maybe find it useful. - - - - - - - Upcoming video: Mt. Sill + Polemonium Peak
