Fernando Ariel Duboué, el arte del taraceado en madera - Capítulo 1
The "Hands That Speak" series returns, an audiovisual project that invites viewers to discover the intimate world of Córdoba's artisans. The series is sponsored by the Crafts Department of the Córdoba Culture Agency. The first episode takes us to Río Ceballos to explore the work of artisan Fernando Ariel Duboué. Born in Buenos Aires in 1952, Duboué graduated as an architect from the National University of Córdoba in 1976. After working on the civil engineering team at the Atucha I nuclear power plant and teaching at the university level, he decided to dedicate his passion to woodworking: both in its natural state and through the expressive possibilities of marquetry. His main contribution to contemporary crafts has been applying the marquetry technique to three-dimensional pieces such as vases and plates, using native woods, often reclaimed from woodpiles. He has participated in national and international fairs, winning important awards for the quality and innovation of his work. Currently, he teaches at the Cabinetmaking Technician program at the Provincial University of Córdoba and also gives classes in his workshop. An unmissable experience to discover an unusual technique, guided by a leading figure in the craft. #culturacba #artesania #cultura #cordobaescultura
