SoundChatTV - Tristan Palmer - Part 2
Tristan Palmer whose recordings also list him as Triston Palma was born in 1962 the year of Jamaica's independence. He knew from early that he wanted to be a singer and was often accompanied by Soul Syndicate guitarist Tony Chin. His first recording was "Love Is A Message" for producer Bunny Lee when he was only 8 years old. At 14 aged he got his break while performing at the General Penitentiary Memorial Concert which also featured Bob Marley. During the early 1980s, he is reported to have had 9 singles in Jamaica's Top 40 song listing and his track "Entertainment" still enjoys huge 'forwards' throughout todays dance-halls.
