4:1 Rescue Hoist System - Fire Rescue - Down Firefighter

Today we go over the 4 to 1 rescue hoist system that is on Truck 904. We have two of these systems that are stored pre-constructed in tool bags, ready to anchor and go to work. This system provides us 4 to 1 mechanical advantage on our pulls, allowing a single firefighter to easily and safely control the hoist and lower of the downed firefighter or victim. We also quickly cover expedient rescue harnesses made from nylon webbing. As well as a commercially available rescue harness, made my CMC.
