Stringway MS200 uses a very big and long spring to pull the string creating constant tension pull just as good as a drop weight machine and much better than any electronic tension mechanism on the market. The small spring in Lock Out machines does not pull the spring and is only used as an indicator to "Lock" the tension mechanism when the reference tension is reached.
