Queercoding in NBC Hannibal: A Video Essay
My very first video essay is done!! This took me so long (LIKE 5 MONTHS) so I'm really happy to share this with you guys. 0:00 Introduction 0:24 Hannibal show summary 6:08 Mizumono 16:06 Final scene of Mizumono 21:45 Wrath of the lamb 26:24 Final scene of Wrath of the lamb 31:11 Conclusion 32:43 Thank you! Editing this was such a task. It literally took half of november, all of December and like half of January. A million things happened. I wrote 12/18 pages of the script in 5 hours, I meant for the video to be 20 minutes maximum, I blurred the yellow poster cuz it was ugly asf, and the mic I borrowed also didn't connect to my phone, which is why the audio is a bit spacey. Despite all that, I'm still really proud of this. Let me know if there's other topics you'd like me to cover! I've got a couple ideas in the background as of now. Feedback is also welcome. Edit: Noticing that the water metaphor in this is getting some attention! I just wanna say that this was something I heard from one of the people I interviewed about their theories on hannigram, not my own theory. Didn't wanna take credit for it, and I'm glad people find it interesting! Playlist of video essays I used as inspo/research: • Hannibal Video Essays Please give these creators some love. Their videos are amazing. I'm still figuring out a lot of youtube stuff so bear with me for the time being. Songs used: "Love Crime" by Brian Reitzell ft.
