These baked donuts are healthier than fried donuts. They are very easy to do. Super fluffy donuts! Jam donuts. The perfect dessert or for a weekend breakfast or for Carnival. Ingredients : 380 g of flour (2 cups + ¼ cup + 2 tbsp) 1 pinch of salt 30 g sugar (2 tbsp + 1 tsp) 35 g melted butter (2 tbsp + 2 tsp) 2 beaten eggs 7g dry yeast 200 ml lukewarm milk (¾ cup) Jam of your choice (I chose blackcurrant) Apricot jam or other yellow fruit jam Sugar or icing sugar 1 - You can use any jam of your choice. 2 - You can replace the jam with chocolate spread or pastry cream or nut butter, etc... 3 - Milk can be replaced with lukewarm water. 4 - Butter can be replaced with vegetable oil or quality margarine. 5 - I use a flour made from ancient grains (I don't use modern flour). 6 - The jam I use is homemade jam with a sugar substitute. I am lucky to have blackcurrant fruits growing in my vegetable garden. 7 - It is important to understand that when the dough rests to double in size, it must be in a warm room. 8 - To decorate the donuts, you can use sugar or icing sugar. I use vanilla sugar. 9 - You can also replace the apricot jam with maple syrup or honey. 10 - You can add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract or citrus zest such as lemon or orange to the dough. 11 - These donuts can be fried in oil (until they turn golden). 12 - These donuts will keep for about 2 days - even if they are better the same day (in this case, add the small touch of jam on the donut only at the last moment).
