So this was a ridiculous idea that my dad came up with, and for some crazy reason, we decided to go along with it! Desolation Wilderness is one of the most beautiful places in Lake Tahoe, and our favorite place to backpack in the area. But, today we decided to tackle the entirety of the thru-hike in ONE DAY. The longest day hike we had done previously was 24 miles in the Enchantments in Washington, so this was quite the next step.
