Romuald Wadagni has officially taken the oath of office as President of the Republic of Benin, marking a major political transition for the West African nation. The inauguration ceremony in Cotonou drew regional leaders, diplomats and senior government officials as the former finance minister succeeded his long-time mentor, Patrice Talon, after a decade in power.
