絶対にわかる浸透圧 ~目に見えない不思議な力~

[The reason why water doesn't leave your body when swimming in the ocean is explained in detail below.] Osmotic pressure is deeply involved in everyday phenomena. It's an essential part of studying anatomy and physiology. It's very important knowledge, so watch this video to fully understand it! 0:00 - Why does salt remove water? 1:10 - Looking at osmotic pressure! 1:55 - Semipermeable membrane explanation 4:10 - Key points about osmotic pressure 4:32 - Hypertonic, isotonic, and hypotonic solutions 5:14 - Opening revelation 6:42 - Human body fluids and osmotic pressure 8:28 - About albumin 9:22 - Review [Why water doesn't leave your body when swimming in the ocean] Humans are made up of cells, and the surface of each cell is a semipermeable membrane. It's natural to think that water would leave your skin. But that's not actually the case. The reason is that all human epidermal cells are dead. Epidermal cells born deep within the skin are gradually pushed up to form the epidermis (commonly known as skin). However, they die along the way and become keratinized. Keratinization occurs when cells become hardened with a protein called keratin. Keratinized cells lose their semipermeable membrane function, making them less permeable to water and other substances. Therefore, even if you go into the ocean, water won't escape. Skin is like human armor. (^o^) Living cells exist in the nasal mucosa and eyes, so if seawater gets into these areas, the osmotic pressure causes pain.
