Robbie McMahon - giant among singers

Thanks ye LEGENDS in the tiktok universe for being on my LIVEs, sharing my LIVE transmissions, gifting, following on Spotify, IG, FB, etc. I allude to my past in the world of #madfortrad #ceoltraidisiúnta and the lifestyle of a #tradsinger One of my main mentors was a Robert McMahon, formerly of Spancil Hill, Co Clare. I wanted to share some memories from that era.. only a small handful. They are from 2008 with my son Feidhlim 2009 at his own "Robbie's First Friday" singing session 2010 June: at my regular "SingersClub Loch Deirge" for Mountshannon Arts Festival 2010 September: for Tulla Trad : in Hassett's pub for the launch of the documentary for Robbie, "One Night As I Lay Dreaming" I count myself blessed to have been imprinted those early days with all the fun, mischief, brilliance, and larger than life legendry that was singing with Robbie, listening/being in the presence of, sleeping over at his place, eating Maura's sangwiches, and taking her bread home with me!, being coached by Robbie in my years competing in the Fleadh Cheoil.
