The report presents, step by step, the work carried out from the arrival of the sugarcane, coming from the district of Arajara, in Barbalha, to the grinding that results in molasses, rapadura (unrefined brown sugar), and the traditional batida (a type of Brazilian alcoholic beverage). The firewood used to fuel the oven comes from the district of Ponta da Serra, in Crato, while the sugarcane bagasse is reused as cattle feed, showing the complete utilization of the production.
