It's a treatment that looks like a clinic. I'm not saying it's inherently bad. However, I want to make it clear that formaldehyde, a carcinogen, is produced during the treatment, and that the treatment hardens the hair with high temperatures and acidity. Different names include keratin treatment, acid-heat clinic, and recovery magic. If you smell after applying the product and pulling it with high temperatures, they're all similar treatments. I want to make it clear that the over-hardening caused by the acidity is a bigger problem than the hair stretching caused by a regular perm. This also ties in with the recent posts by YouTuber Dr. Yo Sang-won. Once again, I'm not denying the treatment itself. Certainly, there are times when it's necessary, and I do it sometimes. However, accurate information should be provided so consumers can make informed choices. Consumers mistakenly believe they're going to a clinic and get the treatment, which is problematic. If they bring the hair back and apply a perm, the hair will melt or become severely damaged. What responsibility does the person who touches it a second time bear? A beauty salon is not a place where consumers and practitioners gain unfair profits due to differences in expertise.
