Building Healthy - Ep. 2 - Updates to ASHRAE 62 1

The two key procedures in the ASHRAE ventilation and indoor air quality standard, ASHRAE 62.1, are IAQP and VRP. Most commercial buildings fall under ASHRAE 62.1, and there are two different ways design engineers can determine how much outside air they will need to maintain indoor air quality. Historically IAQP has not been widely adopted, however in February of 2022, ASHRAE updated the IAQP with addendum AA, addendum N and most recently in October of 2023, addendum C - the addition of an excel based calculator that helps design engineers calculate the exact amount of ventilation air required to building a healthy and efficient building. #ASHRAE #IAQP #VRP #ventilation #HVAC
