⛰️ Col Nudo 2,471m in one breath... Mountain range: Col Nudo – Cavallo Itinerary presentation Col Nudo, the highest peak in the Col Nudo-Cavallo group, offers a magnificent 360° panorama from its summit, spanning the plains, the Dolomites, the Carnic and Julian Alps, and the lofty peaks of the Tauern. This mountain plummets to the north and east with towering, rugged faces, while to the southwest it offers ideal terrain for ski mountaineering. This very side attracts hundreds of enthusiasts every year, in winter and spring, eager to glide their skis down its characteristic, splendid, sunny slopes. Despite its modest altitude, the upper section of this route has characteristics almost reminiscent of the Western Alps and should be approached with caution, especially in the presence of hard, icy snow. Road Access From Belluno or Vittorio Veneto, reach Pieve D'Alpago, from where you continue to Plois. From here, follow the signs for the Carota Refuge, pass it, and continue climbing a little further until you see a road descending to the right (initially paved). Follow it for about 3 kilometers until you reach the Casera Stabalì hut at the entrance to the Venal di Montanes.
