GUYANA AND BEYOND: CAN NEW OIL PROJECTS HELP POWER THE CARIBBEAN'S ENERGY SECURITY

There's a lot of talk about new oil and gas developments across the region, from Jamaica in the north to Grenada and Barbados further south. Suriname is already preparing for offshore oil and gas developments. All of these projects come on the heels of Guyana's rapid oil sector development, where the country now produces more than 900,000 barrels of oil daily. Bobby Gossai Jr., the Senior Petroleum Coordinator at Guyana's Ministry of Natural Resources, has played an integral role in the development of Guyana's petroleum sector and has been engaging players across the region. In an interview with Fueled's Vishani Ragobeer, Gossai weighs in on regional energy security efforts, Guyana's learning experiences it is ready to share, and how the country's experience has helped derisk oil developments across the region.
