Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has a chequered history behind it and today presents itself as a lively city with an interesting mix of eastern and western influences. The tram system essentially consists of a 10 km long east-west line that connects the city centre by means of a long single-track loop. Even after the arrival of the 15 new Stadler Tango NF3s, the vehicle fleet still offers a few treats for fans: numerous Duewag GT8s, somewhat desolate-looking Tatra K2YUs and their conversions as well as a remaining Tatra KT8D5.
