In loving Memory of Phoebe Ngina Makau 1965-2026

Subscribe, share & Like BIRTH AND EARLY LIFE The late Phoebe Ngina Makau was born in the year 1965 at Itetani Sub-Location, Tulimani Location, Mbooni West Sub-County, Makueni County. She was the fifth-born child of the late Samuel Muathe and the late Priscillah Nthemba. She was a loving sister to Teresiah Muthio, late Naom Mwelu, late Rose Nduku, Timothy Wambua, the late Zipporah Koki, the late Francis Keli, the late Martha Kanini, John Mwavu, Rael Ndungwa, and the late Joel Mbaluka. EDUCATION The late Phoebe attended Itetani Primary School from 1974 to 1981, where she sat for her Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). FAMILY LIFE The late Phoebe Ngina met her beloved husband in the year 1990, and together they were blessed with five children namely: Josphat Ngei, Nancy Nthenya, Felisters Mwikali, Madinah Kalekye, and Ramson Muendo. She was also a proud grandmother to Erick Makau, Brian Nthuku, Faith Ngei, Annah Kalekye, and Lainey Phoebe. In addition, she was blessed with one great-grandchild, Friday Makau. Her son-in law was Fredrick Kioko. Phoebe was a caring mother, grandmother, and friend who deeply valued family unity, love, and togetherness. WORK AND BUSINESS LIFE After completing her education, the late Phoebe Ngina worked as a shopkeeper before later venturing into her own business. Through hard work, determination, and commitment, she became a respected and successful businesswoman. She worked tirelessly to support her family and community until her demise. CHRISTIAN LIFE The late Phoebe was a devoted Christian. She first worshipped at the Salvation Army Church, where she actively participated in church activities and fellowship. After marriage, she joined the Catholic Church denomination, where she faithfully served God and remained a committed member until her demise. SICKNESS AND DEMISE The late Phoebe lived a healthy life until the year 2006 when she was diagnosed with diabetes. She sought treatment from various health facilities including Machakos Level 5 Hospital, Bishop Kioko Hospital, Doctors Plaza, Bristol Park Hospital, Nairobi West Hospital, Lion Eye Clinic, Laser Eye Hospital, and Bliss Hospital. As her condition worsened, she was rushed to Germany Hospital, where she sadly passed away on 10th May 2026 at the age of 71 years. Her passing has left a great void in the hearts of her family, relatives, friends, and all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, faith, and dedication to her family and community
