You will be surprised! Dannok Hokkien Prawn Mee in Georgetown, Penang originally from Thailand!

The owner moved back to Penang from South Thailand to sell his noodles which were delicious and flavourful! What a nice surprise for us because we intended to try the beef noodles next door but it wasn't open yet. The boss is a Penang guy who sold his noodles for many years in Danok, Thailand after the Bukit Kayu Hitam border, then moved back during the pandemic to start over his business in Penang. We had quite an interesting conversation with him and also some tips about his prawn mee and his difficulties. Making and selling Hokkien mee is not joke! We found the noodles and the prawn broth to be really good, and there are options to add on extra ingredients. Prices are reasonable and the portions are big. Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Operating hours 8am-2pm.
