The political-electoral scenario from the most recent TRIBUNA DO NORTE/Instituto Consult poll indicates that the elections for governor of Rio Grande do Norte will be decided in two rounds. According to the poll, the former mayor of Mossoró, Allyson Bezerra (União), is the preferred pre-candidate among voters, with 34.59%, but he would not reach the minimum percentage of 50% plus 1 vote to win the election in the first round, if the election were held today, as he is surpassed in the sum of the other pre-candidates for the position, who reach 41.18%. A survey by the Consult Institute, which interviewed 1,700 voters between the 3rd and 5th of this month, indicates that the former mayor of Natal, Álvaro Dias (PL), is in second place with 29.0%, while the PT candidate, former state finance secretary Cadu Xavier, who has the support of the state governor, Fátima Bezerra (PT), appears with only 11.24%. The other two pre-candidates from left-wing parties for the state government, Dario Barbosa (PSTU) and Roberio Paulino (PSOL), have only 0.47% of the voting intentions of the 2.66 million voters in Rio Grande do Norte. The Consult survey also shows that 14.94% of the electorate responded "don't know" who they would vote for, another 9.24% stated they would not vote for "anyone," and 0.06% would vote for "another" candidate.
