How Jesus Celebrated Hanukkah You know Jesus said he was the Light of the World, but did you know that he celebrated Hanukkah. Yes. John records that Jesus went to the Temple during the Feast in Winter. You know that there was only one Feast in the Winter, and that was Hanukkah. He was teaching them at Solomon's Porch and you will see something mysterious and amazing in that. He had some powerful things to say while there. He was showing them that he truly was the Jewish Messiah (The Christ). Where he was standing, at the Porch of Solomon, was directly in line with the East Gate. This has great significance in the book of Ezekiel. Jesus loves Israel. He went to Israel before going anywhere else in the world. He followed all of the Jewish laws and even fulfilled the law of Moses perfectly.
