Though it might seem difficult or speculative to establish the authenticity of each saying, or logion, on a mere case by case basis, it might be possible to piece them all together thematically and judge them all in the context of one another. Are they as a whole coherent? In this video I have used a thematic arrangement of these sayings and prepended them all to the more recently discovered Gospel of Thomas. The two collections are astonishingly similar to one another. So much so, I'll admit, that that seems to me of itself the proof of their authenticity.
