Gareth Phillips - photobooks, sculptures, installations CFPR Lunchtime Talk - Weds 4th June 2025 Gareth Phillips showed us his Caligo photobook sculpture through a series of installation views whilst he talked about his process of creating photobook sculptures - the processes and methods of making maquettes and building upon those to produce large-scale installations. Gareth also presented some of his recent projects and discussed how the bringing the viewer into the book's space allows them to experience and interact with the narratives of his 2D and 3D works. Gareth Phillips is a photographer exploring contemporary definitions of the photobook, creating them as objects, sculptures and installations. He has an established international exhibition and award history. His work resides in the permanent collections of the British Library, San Telmo Museum, National Museum of Wales and The W. Van Alan Clark, Jr. Library, USA. He is an associate lecturer at University Arts London and The University of South Wales and is now a board member of the Reflexions Masterclass.
