Four 5"x14" Brass (COB) Snare Drums
In this video I compare four well known 5" x 14" COB (chrome over brass) snare drums. All of the drums have Remo Coated Ambassadors on the top and Remo Ambassador Snare Heads on the bottom. The drums are: a 1970's COB Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King, a 1970's COB Rogers Dynasonic, a 1960's COB Gretsch 4160, and for comparisons sake a 1990's Ludwig Black Beauty (nickel over brass).
