Driving in Barbados - Parris Hill to Morgan Lewis Windmill

Enjoy this morning journey from Parris Hill in St. Joseph to the iconic Morgan Lewis windmill in St. Andrew via Highway 3 and the Ermie Bourne Highway*. Notable districts along the way include Horse Hill, Cattlewash, Belleplaine and Shorey Village among others. *The Ermie Bourne Highway was built in 1966 (the same year in which Barbados became an independent nation), as was originally known as the East Coast Road. It was renamed in 1996 after Edna Ermyntrude 'Ermie' Bourne (1918 - 2000) who became the first woman to be elected to parliament in 1951, representing St. Andrew for an entire decade.
