The 300-year-old Wulixuejunl Second Branch Line still has a section of open channel within Lane 45, Wenzhou Street, Taipei City. It is the only remaining section of the Wulixuejun waterway in Taipei City; the rest of the canals were covered up and turned into underground drainage ditches due to urbanization and the disappearance of rice paddies. In 2025, this "Wulixuejun Second Branch Line Open Channel" in Lane 45, Wenzhou Street, was newly registered as a Taipei City Historic Site.
