FGR obtiene prisión preventiva contra “El Jardinero”; fue ingresado a El Altiplano

The Attorney General's Office obtained a pretrial detention order against Audias Flores Silva, alias "El Jardinero" (The Gardener), identified as one of the main logistics operators for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), after charging him with the crimes of possessing firearms and ammunition restricted to the Armed Forces. The pretrial detention order was issued following Flores Silva's arrest on Monday, April 27, in Nayarit, during an operation led by members of the Mexican Navy (SEMAR). The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office announced that, once the judicial authority deemed his arrest legal, personnel from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime obtained the pretrial detention order in a hearing held via videoconference, after formally charging him. The defense for Flores Silva, considered a possible successor to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho," requested an extension of the constitutional deadline to determine his legal status. It will be determined next Tuesday whether he will be formally charged. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. yesterday, “El Jardinero” was transferred from the FEMDO headquarters in a convoy to the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center No. 1, El Altiplano, in the municipality of Almoloya de Juárez, State of Mexico.
