Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia JCI Indication (June 4, 2026) Bearish Support: 5,750; Resistance: 6,200 Asian stock indices opened lower on Thursday morning (June 4), following the movement of major stock indices on Wall Street overnight, as crude oil prices climbed. Doubts about President Trump's ability to end the war with Iran have shaken market confidence. After four failed attempts, the US House of Representatives (DPR) approved for the first time a War Powers Resolution that would halt US military action against Iran, a rejection of President Trump's war strategy. President Trump is likely to reject any move by the US Congress to limit his authority as Commander-in-Chief of the US military. Since the US joined Israel in launching attacks on Iran on February 28, Americans have seen a surge in gasoline prices at the pump, adding inflationary pressure on consumer spending. Iran has so far succeeded in disrupting shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for most crude oil, natural gas, and derivative products such as fertilizer. Although a ceasefire was declared in April, the situation in the Middle East remains unstable and uncertain. Negotiations to end the fighting more permanently have dragged on, further complicated by the escalating Israeli-Hezbollah war in Lebanon. In the bond market, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury note rose more than 3 basis points to 4.49% after ADP Employment Change data came in better than expected. ADP Employment Change data showed that the US private sector added 122,000 jobs in May, the most since January 2025, exceeding the 105,000 jobs added in the previous month and exceeding market expectations of 117,000. Other US economic data that investors are digesting is the ISM Services PMI, which rose to 54.5 in May, a three-month high, from 53.6 in April and better than the market forecast of 53.8. Furthermore, according to the final calculation, the US S&P Global Composite PMI stood at 51.5 in May, down slightly from 51.7 the previous month, signaling robust expansion in the private sector. The US S&P Global Services PMI fell to 50.7 from 51.0, a downward revision from the initial estimate of 50.9. Factory Orders data showed that US factory orders jumped 4.8% month-on-month in April, higher than the 4.6% month-on-month increase expected by the market and following a 1.8% month-on-month increase in March. News PT Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA) will distribute a cash dividend of IDR 40 per share. PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR) will conduct a rights issue of IDR 25 billion. PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) will distribute cash dividends of USD 45.64 million.
