Entre Hilos : ¿Qué es la deliberación?

In this new episode of the 2026 season of Entre Hilos, dedicated to exploring different schools of thought, Francisco Castillo and Daniel Chernilo discussed the deliberative paradigm. This tradition maintains that to make correct and collectively binding decisions, we must always go through a public process of discussion where reasons, arguments, and evidence are exchanged rationally. The agreements reached in this way do not respond solely or primarily to the principle of majority rule, but rather their rationality rests precisely on the fact that all points of view have been considered. This, precisely, is what constitutes their deliberative nature.
