The Scania-MCW Metropolitan raised the bar for performance in British double-deckers and takes a lot of beating, even in 2014. Come with me aboard this marvellous bus - fast, quiet, powerful, smooth, comfy seats, soft suspension - it's just fabulous - as Paul Almeroth puts the newly-restored ex-London Transport MD60 (KJD 260P) through its paces, the restoration part funded by Paul and completed by Ensignbus of Purfleet, which now has this marvellous modern bus in its Vintage Fleet. A Metropolitan ride is not to be missed - and it's hard to think this bus came out in the early 1970s. The sheer performance and comfort is up with the best…..
