FIRST DRIVE: All new Peugeot e308. Has Peugeot hatched a winner? | Electrifying

#peugeote308 #peugeotelectric #electriccars Say hello to the Peugeot e308 - the all-electric version of Peugeot’s chic five-door hatchback. It’s the latest battery-powered model to join Stellantis’s rapidly expanding range of electric cars and shares much of its underpinnings, battery and motors with the new Vauxhall Astra Electric. It will be sold alongside the existing plug-in hybrid, petrol and diesel versions of the 308, and comes with an impressive WLTP range of up to 257 miles. It gets a 156bhp electric motor that drives the front wheels, and power comes from a 54kWh lithium-ion battery. There are no plans for a four-wheel drive version. As with other existing pure-electric Peugeots, the Peugeot e-308 has rapid charging of up to 100kW, which means it can deliver a 10-to-80% battery charge in around 35 minutesA full battery at a 7kW home wallbox will take around eight hours.  It is also (as you may have noticed) a traditional hatchback rather than an SUV.
