Mansheya Nasir, also known as "Garbage City", is a slum settlement of around 60,000 on the outskirts of Cairo, home to mostly Coptic Christians. Many of the residents here work as unofficial garbage collectors throughout the city, collecting garbage and transporting it via donkey carts or trucks for a small fee and then sorting it for recyclable materials once home.
