Sampieru Corsu. His name may not mean much to you, but he was, neither more nor less, one of the most famous condottieri of the Renaissance. At the head of his companies of Corsican mercenaries, he constantly sowed terror on the battlefields in the mid-16th century, operating for the most powerful sovereigns and heads of state of the time.
